Bogue Inlet Pier

One of Emerald Isle’s most treasured past times lies just off of Emerald Drive at the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier. Generations of vacationers and locals have grown up casting their lines and creating traditions of their own at this special place. Many folks flock to the sands to sunbathe with their fellow beachgoers, while others purchase their day passes and cast away from
atop the pier!
The Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier offers a pier house with snacks, beverages and beach necessities to make your daytrip most enjoyable. With fishing at its best, you can expect to catch anything from Wahoo to King Mackerel, on down to Speckled Trout and Red Drum. Take a stroll down the pier and enjoy the view of the Atlantic Ocean from the observation deck. The 2008 season passes for bottom fishing will be $200, and for $250 king passes are available. Daily passes are available for bottom fishing at $8.50, king fishing at $15, and three day bottom passes at $23. Rod rentals are also offered for $5 for 6 hours and 75 cents per additional hour. Tackle is reasonable and you can even keep it for your next fishing excursion! NC CRFL Salt Water Fishing Licenses are not required to fish from the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier.
Next door you’ll find the Shorebreak Arcade offering hot dogs, nachos and games galore for those who need a quick respite from the sun and sand. Bushwackers Restaurant overlooks the ocean and is located right next door to the Bogue Inlet Pier. Bushwackers offers an array of dishes for all tastes and budgets, and the view isn’t half bad either! Beach parking is available during the summer months on the weekends for $5. Staying on the island for the 4th of July? The Bogue Inlet Pier is also the host of Emerald Isle’s 4th of July fireworks show! Get there early for the best “seats” on the beach!
