Kayaking

Grab your paddles, get your gear and be ready for one of the best experiences you’ll enjoy while vacationing on the Crystal Coast….kayaking. Our pristine waterways, inlets and tidal creeks offer many different kayak adventures. Whether you love to fish from your kayak, or just enjoy the scenery, there’s something for everyone. Many of our soundfront cottages offer the perfect place to launch from their docks, and our shallow sound is the perfect teaching waters for beginners. Our Activity Coordinators can assist you with kayak rentals and excursions.
Here’s what Dave from Hillsborough, NC has to say about why he loves kayaking at the Crystal Coast:
"I can't imagine a better place to paddle. We've spent hours on the Bogue Sound, peacefully kayaking around all those wonderful little islands, watching the birds and other wildlife. It's fun because it's different every time, depending on the season and the weather. For a day trip we love to paddle to Hammocks Beach State Park, you can only get there by water and so it's one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen on the east coast. We've explored the quiet marshes up the White Oak River out of Swansboro. And I'm sure there are lots of other places we haven't even found yet. I'm looking forward to it!"
