Off Season on Bogue Banks

Fall and Spring are the perfect times of year to get more for less on Bogue Banks. Our off-season begins around the first week of September and continues through most of May. The rates are low, but you'll find everything you ever wanted in a beach vacation and more!

The shoreline is almost bare so you can relish in a secluded day by the sea. The hot summer sun rays gradually melt into gentle fall breezes, creating weather for that perfect walk on the beach. You might even see a pod of dolphins jumping along the horizon.

Should you decide to venture over to the sound side, you're likely to see some of the migratory birds making their way down south for their annual winter retreat. A variety of ducks and Canadian Geese can also be spotted around the surrounding area.

As winter arrives, imagine yourself all bundled up in one of our beach cottages watching the waves pound on the secluded beach. And on the rare occasions that we do have snow, the white-capped sand dunes are a sight to behold.

As the winter blossoms into spring you will delight in the rainbow of wildflowers that pop up all over our island. The sun gradually warms the coast as we prepare for another fun-filled summer.
