Ferry schedules vary based on weather and sea conditions.  Be sure to check the most current calendar at www.ncferry.org or by calling the terminal you wish to depart from.  Reservations are only offered on the Cedar Island - Ocracoke and Swan Quarter - Ocracoke Routes.  You must claim your reservation at least 30 minutes prior to departure, otherwise the reservation will be cancelled.  The ferry can accommodate any size car, trailer, or RV that can operate on the highway.  Restrooms are available on the ferries and pets are allowed as long as they are leashed.  Vending machines are available on many of the ferries as well as at the terminal.  Don't forget to pack your camera to capture some one of a kind moments on one of the many NC Ferries!
